Happy 10th birthday Front Porch Fest!
We attended FPF last year for the first time on a kind of whim. Having never been before we weren’t sure what to expect but they had one of our longtime favorite bands playing, @hackensawboys, so we headed out. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. In spite of the rain and cold temps we saw great music, met some great people and added another festival to our summer attendance list.
Highlights of this fest-
- Great location- Spirit Haven Farm is right outside of Stuart VA, very close to hwy 58, nestled in a valley and makes for a beautiful drive in and surrounding scenery.
- Stages- One of the main stages has a roof constructed over it and plenty of soft, open, dance space. Even if it is rainy, you can stay dry and dance in your bare feet.
- Kids Area- Large! Fenced! Structured activities! Right beside the covered stage!
- Camping- In the flat area of the valley, expanded this year to include woodsy camping. Tent camping is free with ticket purchase. Car camping, additional cost, is a 20’x20′ space.
- Small crowd, very intimate feel and up close and personal with the artists.
- Expansive variety of music. This is not a backwoods bluegrass music festival. You’ll get rock and roll, funk, singer/songwriter, new grass and blue grass. Be sure to catch Surprise Attack! @surpriseattack
- Ticket Price! For $225 you get the VIP experience which includes special music, parties, and home cooked meals ! Just do it! Tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/front-porch-fest-tickets-45223284060?ref=elink
- FestyWesty pancake breakfast! Saturday morning at 10am. Bring a plate and fork and friends and join us for breakfast!
- The Busking Trail– Be sure to go by the Picking tent and check out the buskers. Get your voting tickets from the FestyWesty bus to vote for your favorite busking group.
This article is a little different from previous ones, primarily because we don’t have a long history with this festival. But we are very excited to be back there in a couple weeks, look forward to working with the festival organizers- One Family Productions and meeting more Front Porch Fest family!
